Spinach And Paneer Paratha Recipe

An interesting Indian bread which is a sole dish itself made using lots of paneer and spinach along with various spices. Try these amazing healthy parathas at home.

Ingredients required to make spinach and paneer paratha recipe

For dough
  • Spinach (roughly chopped) - 1 ½ cups
  • Maida (plain flour) - 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon
For stuffing
  • Cauliflower (Grated) - ¾ cup
  • Crumbled cottage cheese (paneer) - ¾ cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoon
  • Green chillies (finely chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - As per taste
Extra Ingredients
  • Whole wheat flour - For rolling
  • Oil - For cooking
For serving
  • Pickle & Fresh curd
  • The process to make spinach & paneer paratha
For dough

1) In a mixer, add spinach, a tablespoon of water and lemon juice and make a smooth paste out of it. Then keep it aside.
2) In a bowl, add whole wheat flour (gehu ka atta), plain flour (maida), ghee, salt and prepared spinach puree. Mix them well and using enough water make a semi-dough out of it.
3) Cover the dough using a muslin cloth and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

For stuffing

1) Add all the stuffing ingredients in a bowl and mix them well together.

Final process

1) First, make 8 equal portions of the dough and the mixture.

2) Take a dough portion and roll out into a flat circular round shape of  150 mm. (6”) diameter.

3) Now put a portion of the stuffing on half of the circle and fold the other half of the circle to make a semi-circle.

4) Take a non-stick pan and cook the paratha using little oil until it is properly cooked or golden brown spots appear from both the sides.

5) Repeat the same steps to make the remaining 7 parathas.

6) Spinach & paneer paratha is ready. Serve it immediately with pickle and fresh curd.
